We have seen tremendous efforts worldwide to combat the economic, public health and societal effects of the virus. Yet, we know that by working together, we can still achieve more.
Introducing a New Wave of Financial Support
In partnership with our panel of private donors, Zing has been issuing direct invitations to governmental bodies where we believe the nation is eligible for a Coronavirus Response Relief Grant.
Our experience spans over 15 years. We are focusing on Africa since it is a region with ample opportunity for infrastructure improvements and new financial solutions to assist in long-term economic growth.
The governmental advisory team has consulted with multiple public sector bodies to assess the types of grant that will have the most impact on the response to the COVID-19 virus.
As such, we have introduced five finding streams. Each route will target a different set of deliverables.
Pandemic Relief Grant Funding Opportunities
Here we have outlined the core aims of each of the grant funding routes.

- Recoverable Grants: Capital injections to mitigate short-term liquidity issues. These funds will support otherwise viable enterprises, and those suffering from short-term cash flow challenges.
- Energy Grants: Funding for last-mile energy access organisations as well as state initiatives. Created to assist in the recovery from economic pandemic impacts.
- Entrepreneurial Grants: Support for high-growth, impact-driven start-ups to ensure they remain viable throughout, and moving on, from the COVID-19 crisis.
- Emergency Capital Grants: Aimed at on and off-grid energy companies. Options are available to apply for emergency working capital, as well as equity and debt restructuring.
- Health Grants: To assist with health-related initiatives and management schemes which treat and mitigate the impact of prevalent diseases.
Each of these initiatives is designed to support governments in addressing their areas of greatest need.

Our ethos is to apply our expertise across finance, project management, infrastructure planning, technology, and investment to deliver projects that make people's lives better.
As such, we have applied flexible criteria to the grant awards process, and with each case being decided individually.
Grants are available for up to $17 million (USD) per applicant and per project initiative. There is a total funding pot of up to $200 million.
Those funding caps may change if the investment panel is presented with a compelling case with the potential for long-term sustainable growth.
Proposals that will have a quantifiable impact on improving public services, healthcare or infrastructure will always be considered.
